Regenerative Therapy at Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia (HPUSM) focuses on restoring, rejuvenating and improving skin and tissue health through specialised treatments and advanced technologies. Led by experienced plastic and reconstructive surgeons, these services address various conditions, including scars, burns, chronic wounds, pigmentation disorders, hair loss and skin ageing with the aim of improving appearance, function and overall quality of life.

Our Regenerative Therapy services comprise four specialised clinics, each providing individualised assessment and treatment according to patients' needs.

1. Laser Clinic

The Laser Clinic provides specialised laser treatments for various skin conditions, including scars, pigmentation disorders, wrinkles, tattoo removal, hair reduction and selected benign skin lesions. Using advanced laser technologies, treatments are tailored to individual skin conditions following a comprehensive clinical assessment to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

2. Scar Clinic

The Scar Clinic provides comprehensive assessment and management of scars resulting from surgery, trauma, burns and other skin injuries including hypertrophic scars and keloids. Treatment options include scar education, massage, silicone therapy, corticosteroid injections and pressure garments. Follow-up care is tailored to scar maturity and individual patient needs, with the aim of improving scar appearance, reducing symptoms and promoting optimal scar maturation.

3. Holistic Burn Clinic

The Holistic Burn Clinic offers comprehensive follow-up care for patients recovering from minor to major burn injuries, including those treated conservatively or surgically. Services focus on scar management, functional recovery, rehabilitation and psychological well-being. Through multidisciplinary collaboration with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation specialists and psychologists, the clinic aims to support long-term recovery, minimise complications and improve patients' quality of life.

4. Regenerative Clinic

The Regenerative Clinic provides specialised treatments for acne scars, post-surgical and traumatic scars, pigmentation-related concerns, hair loss, selected chronic wounds and facial rejuvenation. Treatment options include microneedling, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, laser treatment and corticosteroid injections where appropriate. These interventions aim to support tissue repair, stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture, appearance and overall skin health.
