Overview
The Master of Psychology (Clinical) coursework programme provides exemplary psychological science education with the aims to produce graduates who can:
Apply concepts and theories in clinical psychology continuously and improve knowledge in clinical psychology that is up-to-date and important to the local and international community
Apply excellent clinical, practical, and interpersonal skills, utilize technology to communicate knowledge and research results, and be a responsible team member with an appropriate level of autonomy in a clinical psychology environment
Engage in lifelong learning through continuing career development and postgraduate education in advanced clinical psychology. and demonstrate entrepreneurial skills, ethics, and professionalism related to clinical psychology.
Duration
Full-time: 2 years (4 semesters)
Part-time: 3 years (6 semesters)

Admission Requirement
- A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or its equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 (A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology not meeting CGPA of 2.75 but not lower than 2.25) can be accepted subject to internal assessment by an independent review panel)
OR - A Bachelor’s degree in any field from recognized universities with minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 AND a minimum 45 credit of prerequisites modules in Psychology taken from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris(UPSI) with minimum CGPA of 2.75.
OR - A Bachelor’s degree in any field from recognized universities with minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 AND a minimum 30 credit of prerequisites modules in Psychology with minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 AND a Graduate Record Examination United States of America (GREUSA) Subject Test (Psychology) with minimum score of 550;
OR - Any relevant of equivalent, experience and requirement accepted by USM-UPSI or any relevant authority in Malaysia in accordance to MQA Program Standards for Psychology.
Language Requirement
English
- Minimum TOEFL score of 550 (PBT) or 80 (IBT) or 213 (CBT)
- Or minimum IELTS score of 6.0
- Or minimum MUET score of Band 4
For International candidates need to attend and pass Bahasa Malaysia LKM 100 course during this program.
Qualified candidates will be invited to attend a pre-entry interview
