Undergraduate students doing Medical Doctor (MD) Course under School of Medical Sciences will join Emergency Medicine posting during Year 5, Phase 2. It is a 4-weeks posting, which incorporates intensive teaching and learning (T&L) activities and SHOTS training where the students act like medical doctors and involve in treating patients with supervision.
The T&L activities include simulation training in BLS, ACLS and ATLS, pre-hospital care, disaster management, traditional and blended learning in common emergencies, as well as ward work, clinical teaching, and oncalls.
During their 5-years Medical Doctor Course, students will also visit Department of Emergency Medicine during other postings which integrate First Aid Care and point-of-care ultrasound in trauma.
We also open our arms to elective students from all around the world who wish to experience the chaos and calm in Emergency Medicine.
In chaos, there is always calmness, like in the eye of a hurricane. Find your calm, and do what you do best!
