Community Medicine, also referred to as public health or preventive medicine, is a branch of medicine that emphasizes the health of populations rather than individual patients, focusing on prevention rather than cure. At the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, our department is actively involved in teaching and learning programs for both undergraduate students pursuing the Doctor of Medicine degree and postgraduate students in Master of Public Health (MPH) and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH). We also offer research-focused degrees, including Master of Science (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). You can find comprehensive information about these programs on our website.
