The Standardised Patient Management Course

Simulation‑Based Education | Clinical Skills | Standardised Patient Programme

 

The Standardised Patient Management Course will be conducted by i‑CSC on 18–19 May 2026. This internal sharing programme covers SP recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and moulage to support consistency and quality in SP‑based simulation activities.

East Coast Basic Surgical Skills Workshop & Competition

East Coast | Basic Surgical Skills | Simulation‑Based Training


A two‑day skills programme focusing on knot tying, suturing, and basic laparoscopy through hands‑on training and structured competition for clinical‑year medical students.

    Basic Life Support (BLS) Course for Postgraduate Students

    Training & Workshop Programmes | Postgraduate Education | Clinical Skills

    On 15 February 2026, i‑CSC conducted a BLS Course for postgraduate trainees in collaboration with Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and USAINS. The programme covered CPR, AED use, choking management, and live practical assessments. Participants received a 2‑year BLS certification upon completion.

    Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Training

    Clinical Simulation Training | Postgraduate

    Yesterday, i‑CSC successfully conducted a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training programme aimed at strengthening lifesaving skills in managing pediatric emergencies. Participants engaged in hands‑on airway management, high‑quality CPR, rhythm recognition, and team‑based resuscitation scenarios.
    This session supports our commitment to quality, safety, and readiness in pediatric critical care.

    Microsurgical Skills Training (MiST)

    MiST Postgraduate Training by Orthopaedics – i‑CSC USM

    The Orthopaedic Surgery team conducted a Microsurgical Skills Training (MiST) session for their postgraduate trainees, in collaboration with i‑CSC.
    Participants practised micro‑instrument handling, micro‑suturing, and precision techniques using dedicated microsurgical workstations.

    BLS Booth at Program Pink October HPUSM

    Community Engagement | Staff Development | CPR & Choking Trainng

    i‑CSC conducted a BLS booth during Program Pink October HPUSM, offering hands‑on CPR, AED, and choking management training to medical staff, non‑medical staff, and community members. High‑fidelity manikins were used to enhance realism and confidence in emergency response.

    BLS Booth at Program KPT Prihatin MADANI: East‑Coast Wellness Breast Carnival 3.0

    Community Engagement | CPR & Choking Training

    We provided CPR and choking awareness training for adults and infants using high‑fidelity manikins. The community learned hands‑on life‑saving skills guided by our i‑CSC team.

    World Radiography Day

    Community Engagement | Staff Awareness

    i‑CSC participated in World Radiography Day by running a BLS training booth featuring hands‑on CPR, AED use, and choking management. Radiographers, staff, and community members trained using high‑fidelity manikins to improve readiness for real‑life emergencies.

    Undergraduate Basic Surgical Skills Workshop 2025

    i‑CSC conducted an Undergraduate Basic Surgical Skills Workshop to equip medical students with foundational skills in suturing, knot‑tying, and instrument handling. Hands‑on stations and guided practice helped students build confidence before entering surgical postings.
