The Department of Pharmacology core activities include:

• Teaching and Learning activities for the undergraduate Medical Doctor (MD) Programme and post-graduate Master of Medicine (MMed) candidates. 
• Supervision of postgraduate Master of Science (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and post-graduate Master of Medicine (MMed). 
• Medical Diagnostic Laboratory Service to Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia. We provide qualitative testing and consultancy services for urine drugs of abuse as listed here.
• Research and Development.
