Welcome from the Head of Department of Immunology

Dear colleagues, students, and inquiring minds,

Welcome to the virtual home of the Department of Immunology, School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

You are encouraged to navigate our website, and to discover the interesting work and services offered by our department.

We face and attempt to overcome or manage several immunological disorders that put the human body's immune system at risk such as autoimmune disorders, allergies, underdiagnosed immunodeficiencies as well as emerging infectious diseases. Moreover, the immune system's relevance with cancers is increasingly being recognised.

Please join us on this journey in addressing these challenges. We wish to unlock the secrets of the immune system, and to translate scientific discoveries into actual applications for the benefits of human health.

Thank you for your interest in our department. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Warm regards,

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wong Kah Keng

Head

Department of Immunology
