Radiotherapy Department is the main unit in providing radiotherapy treatment at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital Kubang Kerian. It comes with 2 linear accelerator treatment machines,  CT-simulator machine,  conventional simulator machine and  unit radiotherapy treatment plan.

The objective of this department is to provide the best services to customers in the provision of radiotherapy treatments using the latest expertise and technology. The Radiotherapy Unit strives to provide comprehensive treatment to cancer patients. The department also provides radiotherapy services which consists of Beam External Radiotherapy treatments such as:

• Conventional radiotherapy 2
• 3D conformal radiotherapy
• Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT)
• Volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT)
• Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
• Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)

Each patient will go through several phases before taking this treatment. Between the set phase is:

• Appointment with oncologist
• The radiotherapy treatment simulation procedure
• Radiotherapy treatment planning procedures
• Radiotherapy treatment procedures

In conducting radiotherapy treatment procedures, each patient will be exposed to health education information regarding treatment in terms of health care during treatment and also side effects of radiotherapy treatments which will be guided by the professional lineup of X-ray Radiotherapy.
