Opening Ceremony & Foster Family Assignment for the CFCS Program
Residency I officially commenced on 15 May 2025 with the Opening Ceremony and Foster Family Assignment in conjunction with the Community and Family Case Study (CFCS) Program. This event marked the formal beginning of student involvement in the community as part of their field-based learning experience.
The ceremony was officiated with the presence of university representatives, community leaders, and local residents. During the event, each student was assigned to a foster family in five participating sub-districts: Kuala Balah, Rantau Manis, Bukit Jering, Jerimbong, and Lubok Bongor.
This placement with foster families aims to provide students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the real-life experiences of rural communities, as well as to foster closer relationships in an effort to better understand the health and social issues faced by the community as a whole.
