Taking Steps Towards Environmental Sustainability: The Efforts of the Secretariat for the Community and Family Case Study (CFCS)
USM, 22/10/2024– The Secretariat for the Community and Family Case Study (CFCS) has launched a proactive "Go Green" initiative by creating 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) waste bins using recycled materials such as egg cartons and bamboo sticks.
This initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability within the community. By utilizing discarded materials, the secretariat has successfully crafted eco-friendly and creative waste bins, promoting recycling practices at the community level.
This effort reflects CFCS's commitment to fostering a green lifestyle and cultivating a sustainability mindset among students and the wider community. The project emphasizes the vital role that each individual plays in protecting the environment through more sustainable practices.
These 3R waste bins, made from upcycled materials, will be placed in front of the CFCS office around the campus making it easier for everyone to participate in recycling. The initiative is part of CFCS's long-term vision to create a cleaner, greener environment by reducing waste and encouraging environmental responsibility.
Together, let’s take steps towards a more sustainable future.
