From Probe to Poster: USM Lecturer Takes Spotlight at APSS-ROBAC 2025


22 June 2025 – The Department of Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care, School of Medical Sciences, USM proudly celebrates an academic achievement at the Asia-Pacific Anaesthesia Patient Safety Symposium – Regional Obesity & Bariatric Anaesthesia Conference (APSS-ROBAC 2025), held from 20–22 June 2025 in Kuching, Sarawak.

During the conference, a lecturer from the department was awarded First Place for Best Infographic Presentation. The winning entry, titled “Airway Ultrasound: Enhancing Airway Assessment through Precision Imaging,” highlighted the growing role of point-of-care ultrasound in airway evaluation, promoting safer and more precise clinical practice.

The APSS-ROBAC 2025 conference brought together regional and international experts in neuroanaesthesia, bariatric anaesthesia, and perioperative patient safety. This recognition reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to advancing clinical innovation, education, and excellence in anaesthesia and critical care.
