Proud Moment for HPUSM: Dr. Chee Yuan Alwyn Lee Wins First Prize for Best Poster Presentation at NAS 2025

The Department of Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care, Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia (HPUSM), is proud to announce a momentous achievement by one of our own. Dr. Chee Yuan Alwyn Lee has been awarded First Prize for Best Poster Presentation at the prestigious Neuroanaesthesia Symposium (NAS) 2025, held from 16–18 May at the Sabah International Convention Centre, Kota Kinabalu.

Dr. Chee’s award-winning presentation stood out among numerous high-quality submissions from across the region, reflecting the department’s commitment to academic excellence and innovative research in neuroanaesthesia and critical care.

This remarkable achievement was made possible through the dedicated mentorship of his research supervisors:

• Dr. Laila Ab Mukmin

• Associate Professor Dr. Wan Mohd Nazaruddin Wan Hassan

• Associate Professor Dr. Rhendra Hardy

Their expert guidance, support, and encouragement have been instrumental in shaping the project from inception to presentation.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all lecturers and faculty members of the department who provided additional input, feedback, and encouragement throughout the process. This award reflects not only Dr. Chee’s hard work but also the collective spirit of excellence, mentorship, and collaboration within our department.

The department celebrates this proud moment as a symbol of our growing academic footprint on the national stageand as a testament to the strength of our training and research culture.
