Eid Mubarak Celebration Unites Hospital Community at Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care Department
Kota Bharu, April 2025 – Joy, laughter, and a strong sense of togetherness filled the air as the Department of Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care, Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia (HPUSM) hosted a vibrant Eid Mubarak Celebration that was open to the entire hospital community.
Held at the department level, this year’s celebration was truly special — a grand event that welcomed colleagues from across various departments, transcending clinical roles and schedules to embrace the festive spirit of Syawal.
The celebration featured a colourful photo booth session, where staff captured joyful moments in traditional attire, symbolizing unity in diversity. A generous spread of delicious Raya food added flavour to the day — from lemang and rendang to kuih-muih and signature local delicacies, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
What made this event stand out was not just the scale, but the openness and warmth extended by the Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care team to all hospital staff. Everyone was invited — doctors, nurses, allied health personnel, support staff — and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
The celebration served as more than just a festive gathering; it was a powerful platform to foster interdepartmental collaboration. By bringing people together in a relaxed, joyful setting, it strengthened the bonds of teamwork, mutual respect, and professional camaraderie among departments.
“It’s important for us to celebrate together, beyond the clinical setting. Events like this remind us that we are one hospital family,” shared one of the organizing committee members.
The Department of Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care continues to champion a culture of inclusiveness and appreciation, and this Eid celebration was a reflection of that commitment. Here’s to many more shared moments of joy and connection. Eid Mubarak from all of us at HPUSM!
