The Integrated Clinical Simulation Centre (i‑CSC), Universiti Sains Malaysia, participated in the Karnival Digital Teknologi Pendidikan & Pesta Kokurikulum (KERIAN EDUTECH 2.0) 2026 held at SMK Kubang Kerian on 20–21 May 2026, by conducting a Basic Life Support (BLS) demonstration booth.

The carnival was organised to promote awareness of educational technology and co‑curricular development, while also creating opportunities to engage students and the community in meaningful learning activities.

During the event, the i‑CSC team delivered interactive BLS demonstrations and hands‑on sessions, focusing on essential life‑saving skills. The activity targeted:

  • School students
  • Teachers and school staff
  • Members of the local community

Key training components included:

  • Early recognition of emergency situations
  • High‑quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
  • Basic choking management techniques
  • Importance of timely bystander intervention

Participants were guided through structured demonstrations and practical sessions, allowing them to experience simulation‑based learning in a safe and engaging environment. The programme aimed to increase awareness, knowledge, and confidence in responding to emergency situations.

This outreach initiative reflects i‑CSC’s commitment to promoting community education, public health awareness, and simulation‑based training, particularly among school communities and young learners.
