Introduction

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is a major department in the medical school which provides expert treatment for all aspects of musculoskeletal ailments. There are eight(8) units which functions as service, teaching and research units. Our surgeons all have specific training and experience in their specialised fields and the chief of the units are as follows:

Upper Limb & Microsurgery Unit:	Assc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Nawfar Sadagatullah
Arthroplasty Unit:	Assc. Prof. Dr. Shaifuzain Ab Rahman
Sports & Adult Reconstructive Unit:	Prof. Dr. Tg Muzafar Tg Shihabudin
Advanced Trauma:	Dr. Hadizie Din
Orthopaedic Rehabilitation:	Dr. Al-Hafiz Ibrahim

We have 3 dedicated orthopaedic ward (4S=36 regular beds + 12 additional beds, 4U=32 regular beds (including 8 isolation beds) and 2Z=25 acute beds). Total of 105 beds excluding the common surgical paeditric wards.
