Tissue graft applications and transplantation have become part of daily medical practice in Malaysia. Numerous government and private hospitals have received the services from USM Tissue Bank. The tissue grafts are used by medical specialists, surgeons and dental specialists to treat bone, skin, oral and eye diseases.

USM Tissue Bank provides these tissue grafts:

Training Program For Tissue Banking

ACADEMIC AND TRAINING

USM Tissue Bank is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs related to biomaterials, tissue engineering and tissue banking. We also conduct tissue banking training to personnels in the related field from public and private sectors throughout Malaysia and from other countries.

USM Tissue Bank Proudly Hosts Orthopedic Surgeons from the Philippines: 15-19 June 2025.

🎓 We are honored to have hosted Dr. Geneva Khu and Dr. Josh Rosales, highly respected Consultants from the Department of Orthopedics, Northern Mindanao Medical Center, Cagayan de Oro, Philippines 🇵🇭, for a 5-day advanced training program at the USM Tissue Bank, held from 15–19 June 2025.

This immersive program brought together shared passion, clinical excellence, and a commitment to advancing tissue banking practices across borders. Dr. Khu and Dr. Rosales brought with them not only deep orthopedic expertise but also a spirit of collaboration that made the exchange truly meaningful.
