We offer two options for research methodology and statistical consultation at Biostatistics and Research Methodology Unit, School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia; 1) Free session and 2) Paid session (via USAINS).

1) Free Consultation Session

We offer general advice on research methodology and medical statistics.

FREE consultation is ONLY offered to students and lecturers in the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). For other students and faculty members (inside or outside USM), please follow CONSULTATION (USAINS) pathway below.

Each consultation session is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes. If you require more than 3 sessions, please kindly consider adding the consultant as a co-researcher or choose CONSULTATION (USAINS) pathway below.

2) Paid Consultation Session (via USAINS)

We also offer consultation service on research methodology and medical statistics under USAINS. The service includes:

Our lecturers specialize in the following areas:

Mode of Consultation

General consultation: face-to-face meeting or online meeting (RM80 per hour)

• proposal and protocol preparation
• dissertation and thesis preparation
• study design - randomized controlled trials, observational and validation studies
• sample size determination
• research ethics

Analysis and editing service: research project / manuscript (Rate by project, RM80 per man hour required)

• statistical analysis and reporting
• manuscript editing (methodological and statistical content)
