Short synopsis:

This CPC will discuss on case series of Steven-Johnson syndrome. The cases revealed association of HLA-B *1502 allele and carbamazepine-induced severe adverse cutaneous drug reaction in patients in HUSM.

Therefore screening of HLA-B*1502 before use of carbamazepine is recommended.
