Paediatric HPUSM Gala Dinner 2025

The Paediatric USM Gala Dinner was successfully held on 24 October 2025 at H Elite Hotel, Kota Bharu, Kelantan, starting at 8.00 PM. With the lively and creative theme “S’mak Jetak & Jangoks”, representing handsomeness and beauty, the event gathered almost 200 participants consisting of lecturers, specialists, medical officers, nursing staff, pharmacists, support staff, and their family members. The event created a warm atmosphere filled with excitement and elegance.

The evening commenced with a prayer led by Dr. Mohd Anas bin Che Nik, followed by a welcoming speech delivered by the Head of Department, Prof. Madya Dr. Mohamad Ikram bin Ilias, who expressed gratitude for the teamwork and dedication of the department members. The event was delightfully hosted by Staff Nurse Ms. Siti Nurfathihah and her duo, Mr. Affarizan, whose engaging chemistry and lively hosting style kept the audience entertained throughout the night.

All participants dressed beautifully in line with the theme, with children equally dressed up, adding colour and charm to the event. Guests were then treated to an exquisite dinner. A variety of delicious dishes were served, offering a satisfying culinary experience that delighted attendees as they mingled and enjoyed conversations. This setting provided an excellent opportunity for everyone from various roles within the department to interact, strengthen friendship bonds, and celebrate unity as one paediatric family.

A special video montage showcasing snapshots of departmental activities and team members of Hospital Pakar USM was presented, evoking fond memories and pride. The highlight of the night was the highly anticipated lucky draw, featuring an impressive total of 109 prizes. Rewards ranged from hampers, household appliances, cash prizes, and H-Elite accommodation vouchers to the exciting grand prizes of a gold bar and a 32-inch flat screen television. Each spin of the lucky draw wheel brought cheers, suspense, and goose bumps to the audience.

To further elevate the excitement, entertaining performances and activities were held in between the lucky draw segments. These included a lively kids’ fashion show, engaging table games, and the crowning of the King & Queen of the Night as well as Prince & Princess of the Night, acknowledging those who best embodied the evening’s glamorous theme.

The event concluded close to 11.00 PM, with smiles and laughter filling the hall. Participants left with unforgettable memories, strengthened camaraderie, and joy—especially the lucky draw winners. The success of this Gala Dinner has set a high benchmark, and everyone is already looking forward to an even more spectacular gathering next year.
