The collaboration focuses on strengthening human capital development through industry-driven applied research, graduate employability training programmes, and the sharing of expertise in occupational safety and health, rehabilitation, and workforce well-being.

Through this initiative, USM academics and students are given the opportunity to be directly involved in real-world industry projects that align with current labour market needs and challenges.

The session, held at the Conference Room of the School of Medical Sciences (PPSP), USM, also reflected PERKESO’s commitment to fostering sustained collaboration with higher education institutions in producing a skilled, knowledgeable, and competitive workforce.

This collaboration is expected to serve as a catalyst for the implementation of more comprehensive joint initiatives, including collaborative research, industry placement programmes, professional training, and the execution of data- and evidence-based worker welfare initiatives.
