Kubang Kerian, Kelantan,9 November 2025 - PPSP USM Appoints Ir. Ts. Mohd Yusri Mohamed Yusof as Member of the Industrial Community Advisory Panel (ICAP)
The School of Medical Sciences (PPSP), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), on 9 November 2025, officially announced the appointment of Ir. Ts. Mohd Yusri Mohamed Yusof, Senior Vice President of Projects, Technology & Health, Safety, Security & Environment (PT&HSSE), Centre of Excellence for PETRONAS, as a new member of the Industrial Community Advisory Panel (ICAP) for PPSP USM.
During an engagement session with PPSP’s management, Ir. Ts. Mohd Yusri emphasized the vital role of ICAP as a strategic platform for evaluating curriculum strengths and needs, bridging the skill gap between academia and industry, and supporting inclusive, progressive, and sustainable industry–community initiatives aligned with the needs of the national healthcare ecosystem.
Throughout his official visit to PPSP, Ir. Ts. Mohd Yusri also toured several key facilities and reference centres, including SPICES – the Interactive Gallery for Medical Sciences, An NaHL (USM’s stingless bee honey community development project), and the Ronald McDonald House at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia.
PPSP extends its deepest appreciation to Professor Dr. Kamarul Aryffin bin Baharuddin, Dean of PPSP, for officiating and participating throughout the entire programme, as well as to Professor Dr. Aziah binti Daud, Deputy Dean of Industry, Community Engagement and Development (LIKP), for her guidance and dedication in planning and ensuring the smooth execution of the event.
This appointment is expected to further strengthen the strategic collaboration between PPSP and the industry, supporting USM’s vision of advancing a dynamic, responsive, and future-oriented health education ecosystem.
