POSTGRADUATE ACTIVITY

i. Ratio of the postgraduate student to eligible lecturers is not more than 4 to 1.

ii. At least 75% of eligible lecturers to be the main supervisor for thesis/dissertation to a minimum of one postgraduate student.

iii. Percentage of international postgraduate students in:

a) Coursework is at least 2%

b) Mixed-mode and research mode is at least 10%

iv. At least 5 PhD candidates graduate within 7 semesters (42 months)*

v. At least 35% of MMed candidates graduate within 8 semesters

RESEARCH ACTIVITY

i At least 60% of eligible lecturers will be involved in research as Principal Investigators

ii. At least 75% of eligible lecturers publish at least one paper in an indexed journals as the main author or corresponding author.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY

Majlis Syarahan Umum Perlantikan Profesor dan Perkongsian Ilmu

Majlis Pelantikan Profesor dan Perkongsian Ilmu

Jabatan Perubatan Masyarakat, Pusat Pengajian Sains Perubatan telah mengadakan Syarahan Umum Pelantikan Profesor oleh Profesor Dr. Aziah Daud dan Profesor Dr. Kamarul Imran Musa serta Perkongsian Ilmu oleh Profesor Dr. Mohamed Rusli Abdullah pada 24 April 2024 (Rabu) di Dewan Utama Kampus Kesihatan, Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Di majlis tersebut, Profesor Dr. Aziah Daud menyampaikan syarahan bertajuk ‘Penyakit Kencing Tikus Leptospirosis - Membongkar Mitos dan Kebenaran Fakta’, Profesor Dr. Kamarul Imran Musa mengetengahkan kepakaran beliau menerusi syarahan bertajuk ‘Memahami dan Meramalkan Penyakit: Kuasa Pemodelan dalam Kesihatan Awam’ manakala Profesor Dr. Mohamed Rusli Abdullah mengulas dan berkongsi ilmu berkenaan persediaan untuk ‘Berjalan ke dalam Kubur’. Ketiga-tiga profesor ini merupakan antara nama besar di pusat pengajian dan sangat giat menyumbang bakti untuk memastikan kelangsungan hal ehwal akademik di PPSP terus berkembang dengan pesat serta mampan.

Syarahan Umum Pelantikan Profesor adalah satu program akademik rasmi universiti khusus berkaitan pemasyhuran ketokohan seorang ahli akademik yang dilantik sebagai profesor penuh. Hadir menyaksikan syarahan umum pada kali ini ialah Dekan Pusat Pengajian Sains Kesihatan, Profesor Dr. Wan Rosli Wan Ishak; Pengarah Institut Penyelidikan Perubatan Molekul, Profesor Madya Dr. Aziah Ismail dan Dekan PPSP merangkap Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Penganjur Majlis Syarahan Umum Pelantikan Profesor, Profesor Dr. Abdul Razak Sulaiman.
