UNIVERSITI SAINS MALAYSIA (HEALTH CAMPUS), KELANTAN, 16 JUN 2025 - Assoc. Prof. Dr. W Mohd Nazaruddin Bin W Hassan, the Deputy Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Professional Training, School of Medical Sciences (PPSP), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), recently held a welcoming and briefing session for new international students enrolled in the Master of Medicine/Surgery/Pathology Programme (June 2025 intake).

A total of four international students attended the session: Dr Wafa (Sudan), Dr Sarkhel (Iraq), Dr Ismail (Maldives) and Dr Lee Shi (Brunei)

The session held at Bilik Operasi Timbalan Dekan, School of Medical Sciences USM, aimed to formally welcome the new students and provide essential information regarding the requirement for Full Registration throughout the duration of their studies, as well as the mandatory renewal of the Annual Practising Certificate (APC) each year with Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).

The Deputy Dean emphasized the importance of maintaining valid Full Registration and APC each year to ensure a smooth academic journey and uphold patient safety during clinical practice.

Also present at the session were key staff members from the Postgraduate Div. PPSP, including the Mdm Sharifah Aini (Senior Assistant Registrar), En Aizat (Senior Science Officer), and Mdm Jauwiah (Senior Administrative Assistant), who were on hand to assist and engage with the students.
